The West Virginia Bureau of Senior Services established Aging & Disability Resource Centers (ADRC) statewide on November 1, 2007. There are currently three centers spread throughout the state. These centers are staffed by individuals prepared to inform and assist seniors and adults with disabilities and their families to make informed decisions about long term care services, insurance, and other issues. The regional State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Coordinator addresses issues such as insurance benefits and the Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Program. The ADRC staff includes social workers, resource counselors, and SHIP Counselors who are ready to assist clients with many different needs at no charge.
